After, we decided it was necessary to take a long walk and explore the Tedo River that runs along the property. The weather is definitely chilly, but the sun is strong and comfortable. Along the hillside, in amongst the olive trees, we spotted a horse. He was so cute, and we felt he was hungry, so we fed him some grass for awhile. And in return, he graciously licked our hands. Enjoyed a long walk, admiring the vineyards, river and hillsides.
When we got back, we decided to head to Regua, a town nearby with a museum on the Duoro that Kay suggested. We explored the town a little first and then found the museum. The woman at the front desk gave us a funny look when we asked to visit the museum, replying that all museums are closed on Mondays, but she gave us a brochure to remind us their exact opening hours for the rest of the week. We checked out the gift shop (which was open), and headed to find a grocery store. We located one outside of town and stocked up on supplies for the next few meals.
Came back to the apartment and made a delicious lunch. Martin napped for a little and Kate read. Then Tiago gave us a tour of the Quinta. It was really cool to see another winery and how they worked, especially how Porto is made.

After a Porto tasting, we bought our two favorite Quinta Do Tedo bottles - one to drink on our trip and one to bring to back.
Then we decided to go for a run along the Tedo River, and we had some company...

At first Tony looked mischievous while we were running, but eventually he just led the way. By the time we got back, he was a tired pup.
Enjoyed dinner and a movie in our room.
